Bex’s CV

  • Established the business in 1999 when I was awarded a start up loan from the Prince’s Trust and was nominated for the Enterprise Prince’s Trust Award.
  • Awarded two bursaries from the Worshipful Company of Blacksmiths.
  • 2008 Milton Keynes Hospital, Cambell Centre – designed and built the perimeter fencing and gate for Milton Keynes PCT’s in-patient mental health unit.
  • 2009 – Kidlington Shopping Centre – designed and built a sculpture ‘Coral’ for the town’s shopping centre.
  • 2010 – High Street Dreams BBC1 with Jo Malone
  • 2011 – launched a cast iron kitchen accessories range
  • 2012 – won innovation in design
  • 2012 – won Mary Porta’s search for new design talent
  • 2013 – 2 entrance gate and railing commission Lucy Cavendish College Cambridge
  • 2014 to now – resident Artist Blacksmith on BBC1 Money for Nothing upcycling program. Series 1 to 5.
  • 2015 – Commissioned by the Ministry of Justice to build sculptural wall art, 40m long on the Westminster Magistrates Court, Marylebone Rd, installed in September 2017.
  • 2016 – Diploma of Merit from the Worshipful Company of Blacksmiths
  • 2017 – Merit – Level 3 DFS Blacksmithing
  • 2018 – Won Public Art commission for the Boston Buoys (work commencing)
  • 2018 – Public Art commission Eastleigh (work in progress)
